Governing Documents

The Stone Lakes Homeowners’ Association (SLHOA) was incorporated on March 23, 1993 as a Texas non-profit corporation, officially as Stone Lakes Subdivision Homeowners’ Association. The governing documents include Articles of Incorporation, By-laws and CCRs.

The By-laws pertain mostly to the structure and administrative requirements for the HOA, e.g., meetings, election of directors, appointments of committees and officers, handling of HOA funds, etc. The By-laws were last updated in April 2013 in order to comply with new provisions in the Texas Property Code.

The CCRs sets forth the covenants and restrictions on properties within the Stone Lakes Subdivision, and include covenants for fences, roofs, exterior modifications, property maintenance, vehicles (boats, RV’s, etc.), trash, plus many more items. Refer to Article VIII of the CCRs for more information.
