The Stone Lakes Homeowners' Association (SLHOA) is governed by a Board of Directors, which consists of five directors elected by the homeowners at the annual SLHOA meeting to serve three (3) year terms. The election of Directors is staggered so terms expire in different years to maintain continuity on the Board. A director may not serve more than two consecutive terms.
If a Director leaves the board before the end of a term, the Board may appoint (by majority vote) a qualified homeowner as a Director to fill the vacancy until a successor is elected at the next annual meeting.
In addition, the Board appoints the Officers, currently a President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and Assistant Treasurer to serve until they resign or are removed by the Board.
The Board meets quarterly in meetings that consist of an open session and a closed executive session. The meetings are announced to Stone Lakes homeowners at least 72 hours in advance. Homeowners are welcome to attend the open session portion of the meetings to provide input or observe.
The Officers have closed session meetings in the months where the Board does not meet.
The day-to-day operations of SLHOA are managed by First Service Residential (property management company), the SLHOA Officers, SLHOA Committees, and the SLHOA Grounds Director. For a list of the current Officers and Directors click: Officers and Directors
